A contiguous surface film (60) for a composite strip, such as a weatherseal is disclosed, wherein the surface film (60) is formed of a colligated powder coating. The surface film can be located on a carrier (30), sealing (40) or trim portion (50) of the weatherseal, wherein the surface film (60) can be colored, and selected to provide a desired surface characteristic such as reduced coefficient of friction. A corresponding method is also disclosed. |
