PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for vehicle that can avoid various phenomena caused by the erroneous recognition of a gas sensor insufficiently heated in the initial stage of intake control using the gas sensor. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner for vehicle that controls to lower the lead-in rate of outside air by an intake device with increase in the degree of pollution detected by the gas sensor, whether prescribed conditions for the stable operation of the gas sensor after the start of control by an intake control means are satisfied is determined, and air-conditioning equipment other than the intake device is controlled to correct in a direction of suppressing the phenomena (the blur of window glass and worsening of feelings caused by the increase of air-conditioning and heating capacity and air blasting quantity) generated by the decrease of the lead-in rate of outside air, until determining that the prescribed conditions are satisfied.
