PURPOSE: To provide a photosensitive color composition for a color filter so as to obtain a brighter color filter having higher transmittance. CONSTITUTION: In the photosensitive color composition for a color filter containing (A) a pigment, (B) a binder resin, (C) a solvent and (D) a radiation- sensitive compound, the pigment (A) is C.I.Pigment Red 255 having 0.01 μm to 0.2 μm average particle size.
