PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer an optimum route from a present position of a vehicle to a destination to a driver in a navigation system. SOLUTION: This navigation device 10 for the vehicle finds a local route from a present position of the vehicle to the designated destination. The navigation device 10 transmits data describing the present position of the vehicle and the destination to a center 30, and the center 30 finds a route from the present position to the destination as a center search route independently of the local route. The center search route is transmitted to the navigation device 10, and the navigation device 10 compares both routes with each other and displays the comparison result in an image outputting part 13. According to a selection by the driver, the navigation device 10 guides the route to the destination along the selected local or center search route. |
