The measuring method uses a light source (1) of given wavelength and intensity, radiating a beam over and angle of between 20 and 40 degrees and photodetectors (2,3,4,5) with a detection angle of between 70 and 120 degrees, for detection of the dispersed light, coupled to an electronic evaluation stage (33) for identification of a particle in the measured volume and the particle dwell time.
