PURPOSE: A projection system including three color wheels is provided to separately irradiate R/G/B light beams on a liquid crystal panel simultaneously to improve optical efficiency and increase a liquid crystal response speed. CONSTITUTION: A projection system including three color wheels includes an optical source(1) for generating white light, a fly eye lens(3) for converting the white light into a parallel beam, and a polarizing conversion system(5) for transforming the beam that has passed through the fly eye lens into P-wave. The projection system further includes a focusing lens(7) for focusing the P-wave, three color wheels(9,11,13) for dividing the beam that has passed through the focusing lens into R/G/B beams and irradiating the beams simultaneously, and a prism(30) for scanning each of the beams irradiated by the color wheels with two regions. The projection system also has a polarizing beam splitter(15) for transmitting the P-wave beam but reflecting S-wave beam by 90 degrees, a liquid crystal panel(17) for controlling the beam inputted through the beam splitter, and a projection lens(19) for receiving the beam from the liquid crystal panel to project the beam.
