Stirrer comprising a rod which acts as a handle and has a molded block of sugar, low-calorie sugar or artificial sweetener on its tip. The molded block is designed to dissolve as the drink is stirred. The stirrer (1) comprises a rod which acts as a handle (2) and has a molded block (3) of sugar, low-calorie sugar or artificial sweetener on its tip. The molded block is designed to dissolve as a drink is stirred. The end of the rod is flattened into a spade shape to receive the block, and can be perforated to improve its retention. The block can have one or more grooves (4) to allow it to be broken off if too large. The rod can be made from a suitable food grade plastic material to make it disposable and/or recyclable.
