BIS-TYPE QUATERNARY AMMONIUM SALT COMPOUND AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bis-type quaternary ammonium salt compound having excellent antimicrobial activities, providing low residual toxicity after biodegradation, and having high safety to the environment and an animal. SOLUTION: This bis-type quaternary ammonium salt compound is represented by formula (1) [wherein, R is same or different and a 5-18C alkyl group; R<1> is a lower alkyl group; X is an anion; l is an integer of 0-2; and m and n are each an integer of 1-4]. The compound has the excellent antimicrobial activities, provides the low residual toxicity after biodegradation, and has the high safety to the environment and animals.
