PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the falling of a person from an opening for carrying an article. SOLUTION: A fall preventive device 1 prevents the falling of a person from the opening 3 formed between a floor section and an underfloor section. The device 1 has a cover 6 covering the opening 3 and a fall preventive fence 8 capable of being moved between a closed place P0 where the intrusion of the person into the opening 3 is prevented and an open place P1 projected to the upper section of the cover 6 covering the opening 3. The opening 3 is closed by the cover 6 when the fall preventive fence 8 is opened to the open place P1 , and the fall preventive fence 8 is set at the closed place P0 and the intrusion of the person is inhibited when the cover 6 is removed from the opening 3.
