<p>A threshold assembly (111) has a frame (12) that defines an upwardly open channel (16) in which a threshold cap (18) is vertically adjustably disposed. A gap (21) is formed between the threshold cap and the outside wall of the channel and a flexible polymer layer (22), such as a strip of double sided 100 percent closed cell foam tape, is disposed in the gap. The polymer layer seals the gap against water leakage and deforms up to 300 percent of its dimension in any direction to accommodate vertical adjustment of the threshold cap and other relative movement between the cap and the outside wall of the channel while maintaining a high integrity seal.</p> |
