PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict yarn quality change on a package surface layer, to dispense with a removing process to surface yarn, to achieve high-level change success ratio, and to dispense with a tail processing. SOLUTION: In a process of moving a yarn-wound package 8 from a winding position to a stand-by position, rotation of a turret member 10 is stopped before the yarn gets in contact with an empty bobbin 11, where an upper yarn collecting guide 15 and a lower yarn collecting guide 14 are synchronized to actuate, so that yarn is collected to a yarn holding part on the empty bobbin 11 without stopping traversing yarn. Simultaneously, by action of at least one of the upper yarn collecting guide 15, the lower yarn collecting guide 14, and the turret member 10, the yarn is wound on a circumferential surface of the empty bobbin 11 to change the yarn.
