The pump has a housing (5) with a first component moveable relative to a second one, and both are in slide and/or friction contact. At least the second component is fabricated from a hardened steel profile. Its surface is divided into several part surfaces, one of which is coated and acts as a running surface. The pump is esp. an internally or externally toothed gear pump. The pump has at least two meshing gears, the first component is a toothed gear (2), the second one is a filler piece (9), which is in slide or friction contact with one gear.
