The holding device for kitchen knives has a basic part (1) on which are one or more supports (2). At least the front and/or one side surface of the supports (3) completely or partly comprise permanent magnets (4) or are coated with permanent magnetic sheet material (5) or are fitted with permanent magnets (5a), so that when a knife blade (6) is inserted, the knife is firmly held in a ready-to-grip position. The basic part is also equipped with a grip retainer, arranged beneath the supports. The supports are fitted vertically to the knife blade longitudinal axis. The grip retainer is formed as a strip, which on the side of the knife grip is provided with lowered formations. |
