The device for the separating out of impurities in lubricating oil has a filter element (11) and centrifuge (34) mounted on a common central rod (5) which with the casing (2) closed is mounted by one axial end (6) on the cover (3) and by its other axial end (7) mounted on the casing. The cover and rod together with the filter element and centrifuge form a common unit which is removable from the casing. The rod is assembled from at least two sections (46,47) interconnected by a self-locking plug-in connection (49).
