PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that has a cleaner having a blade which is prevented from curling and chattering, and steadily forms a high quality image for a long time. SOLUTION: The image forming device has a latent image carrier which is rotated and a cleaner which removes residual toner on the latent image carrier. In the cleaner, a conductive roller and a plate-like blade formed of an elastic body are disposed in that order in the direction of the movement of the latent image carrier. The blade is turnably supported around a predetermined turning central axis that extends parallel to the rotation shaft of the latent image carrier so that the blade is turned into an actuated state in which the blade is bent entirely from a reference state in which the leading end of the blade is in contact with the surface of the latent image carrier without being deformed. The position of disposing the turning central axis is predetermined so that the blade in the reference state satisfies a particular condition. |
