PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more reliably detect the winding of a transfer material by enabling the winding of the transfer material using a toner density sensor while reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: The detection of paper 10 wound around an intermediate transfer belt 7a is performed by a toner density sensor 8 to detect a toner density for process control at prescribed time during a usual image forming operation. Thereby, it is clarified whether the density detected by the toner density sensor 18 is a density for a toner density detection or a density for a paper winding detection while the number of components is reduced, a misdetection is prevented and the processing of detected signals are more simply processed. Thereby, the winding of the paper 10 can be detected more reliably. |
