PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound generator, enabling a fuel cell automobile to be started stably and shortly and operated normally and stably. SOLUTION: The compound generator 200 comprises a reformer for reforming methanol to produce hydrogen, a PEFC device 40 for generating power with the produced hydrogen, and a DMFC device 30 for generating power using the methanol as a raw material. The compound generator 200 supplies the methanol to the reformer 60 for performing starting operation of the reformer 60; and when it is started, also supplies the methanol to the DMFC device 30 and generates power using the methanol as a raw material, while it supplies methanol to the reformer 60 to be reformed to hydrogen and supplies the reformed hydrogen to the PEFC device 40 for generating power, when normally operation of the reformer 60 is made. |
