PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that self-aligning of a coupling member of a mold opening/closing unit cannot be executed only by guiding and position regulating a movable plate by a conventional linearly guiding mechanism, and hence a parallelism of the plate or the mold cannot be maintained but an accuracy of the molding is lowered or biting, an irregular wear or the like of the coupling member occurs. SOLUTION: A mold clamping device comprises a mold mounting plate for supporting a load of the mold under the guidance of the movable plate by the linearly guiding mechanism, and the coupling plate having a regulator for self-aligning the coupling member of the mold opening/closing unit.
