摘要 PURPOSE: A friction stir welding method for structural body, and extruded shape member for friction stir welding are provided to weld a hollow shape member from one surface thereof irrespective of dimension accuracy of the hollow shape member, and easily perform position determination of lap joint. CONSTITUTION: The friction stir welding method for structural body is characterized in that a plural ribs(13A,13B;23A,23B) are connected between two face plates(11,12;21,22), two hollow shape members(10,20) in which the end part of one side face plate(12,22) is more projected than the end part of the other side face plate(11,21) are prepared, each of the face plates on the outer surface of the hollow shape members are substantially flat, the projected face plates(12b,22b) are welded each other from the other side face plate by friction stir welding method, on connection plate substantially parallel to the projected one side face plate is lapped over the end part of the other side face plate of the respective hollow shape members, position of the connection member(30) for the hollow shape members is determined by the connection member or block parts(16,26) installed on the other side face plate during the overlapping, and friction stir welding is performed on the overlapped part from the outer side of the hollow shape members.
