PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator for mascara capable of easily applying mascara liquid to eyelashes without much efforts. SOLUTION: The mascara applicator 10 is made up of a spiral wire 12 winding a number of brush fibers 14 together in each turn and a handle 16 extending from the base end 12a of the wire 12. It uses the wire 12 ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 mm in diameter and the brush fibers 14 of less than 0.01 mm in diameter. Each spiral turn involves twenty to forty brush fibers 14.
