ELECTRODE STRUCTURE OF ELECTRON GUN FOR USE OF CATHODE RAY TUBE

PURPOSE: An electrode structure for an electron gun for use of CRT is provided to achieve improved voltage withstanding characteristics and resolution by enhancing the electrode structure of electron gun. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun comprises a triode unit(20) for emitting, controlling and accelerating an electron beam; a lens forming electrode(40) where a plurality of electrodes are superimposed so as to let the electron beam pass through the triode unit to be focused onto a screen; and a recessed portion(41) is formed on at least one of the superimposed electrode surfaces of the lens forming electrode, so as to remove foreign substances from each electrodes of the lens forming electrode. The recessed portion includes a vertical axis formed in the same direction as that of electron beam passage holes formed at each electrode of the lens forming electrode; and a horizontal axis formed perpendicularly to the electron beam passage holes.
