PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To individually assemble and test a valve group and a coil group by forming a fuel injector in module structure. SOLUTION: This modular fuel injector is provided with a valve group sub-assembly 200 and a coil group sub-assembly 300. The valve group sub-assembly is provided with a pipe assembly, a seat, and a needle assembly having a needle surface. At least one of the needle surface and the inlet pipe surface has a first part substantially inclined to the longitudinal axis, and is provided with a member for pressing the needle assembly to the seat, a filter assembly engaged with the member to adjust the pressing force of the member, and a first fitting part. The coil group sub-assembly is provided with a solenoid coil 310 and a second fitting part.
