PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for flocculating and dehydrating a solid-liquid mixture, in which the dehydration efficiency in a dehydration process is improved by preventing the break of flocculated floc generated in a flocculation process performed in the prestage of the dehydration process in the flocculation and dehydration of the solid-liquid mixture such as sludge. SOLUTION: The apparatus D for flocculating and dehydrating sludge is provided with a sludge storage tank 5, a pump 1 for forcibly feeding sludge, a flocculation mixer 6, a flocculating agent tank 7, an injection pump 70 and a dehydrator A. The flocculation mixer 6 is tightly closed and connected to the pump 1 and the dehydrator A. The pump 1 forcibly feeds not only the activated sludge in the sludge storage tank 3 to the flocculation mixer 6 but also a mixture of the flocculated floc flocculated in the flocculation mixer 6 with treated water to the dehydrator A and gives pressurization for the dehydration in the dehydrator A.
