PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium uniform, having high quality and simple to manufacture. SOLUTION: The filter medium comprises a bundled body wherein a plurality of fibers 10 having a core-sheath structure are fused and the melting point of the sheath material of each fiber is made lower than that of the core material of the fiber. Since the filter medium can withstand repetion of washing, it develops excellent durability such as long-time use or the like. Moreover, it is uniform and has high quality and is easy to manufacture. Therefore, the filter medium can be used in filter apparatuses for various purposes and the industrial meaning thereof is extremely large.
