PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image free from image deviation, that is, color slippage with a simple constitution, and also, to form the image at a low cost and a high speed. SOLUTION: As for the image forming device constituted so that toner images separately formed on several photoreceptors 1Y, 1M, 1C and 1K may be transferred to an intermediate transfer medium 85, the flexible endless sleeve type intermediate transfer medium 85 and the several photoreceptors 1Y, 1M, 1C and 1K arranged along the intermediate transfer medium 85 are formed to a unit so as to be attachably/detachably replaced, then, at the maintenance of respective photoreceptors 1Y, 1M, 1C and 1K and the intermediate transfer medium 85, it is convenient to pull out them as the unit so as to repair or replace them, and also, the relative positional relation and the drive relation between the intermediate transfer medium 85 and several photoreceptors 1Y, 1M, 1C and 1K are stabilized and maintained. Besides, a fixed relation is maintained in terms of respective circumferential lengths, then, the influence of environmental changes in temperature and humidity is eliminated.
