PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional disk unit requires a mechanism for retreating a roller and consequently cannot be made thin nor miniaturized because the roller is required to be provided at a position where the roller is laid over a disk in order to move the center of the disk to a turntable. SOLUTION: A drive unit 20 is equipped with a unit base 21 mounted with the turntable 26 and an optical head 30 and is retracted into a space A made inside a casing 1 when the disk is inserted or ejected. A pressurization section 32 is formed on the optical head 30. After the disk D is conveyed a prescribed distance with the roller 4, the unit base 21 is moved upward and the disk is conveyed to a prescribed position with the moving force of the optical head 30 by moving the optical head 30 from front to backside. Thereafter, the drive unit 20 turns and the center hole D1 of the disk D is loaded on the turntable 26.
