PURPOSE: A plate of an automatic transmission is provided to prevent shortening of a life span of a vehicle by absorbing contact impact and vibration efficiently with modifying the shape of a gear. CONSTITUTION: A recessed part(6) is formed in the upper part of a gear(5), and a containing part(2) is formed in a retainer(3). A plate(7) having the recessed part of the gear is assembled with the retainer. The lubrication area between the retainer and the plate is enlarged with the recessed part of the gear, and rotation resistance is reduced. Burr is prevented in spite of applying impact continuously with absorbing vibration in the recessed part of the gear in turning the plate during transmitting power. Contact impact and vibration are absorbed efficiently with forming the semicircular recessed part in the upper part of the gear. The life span of the vehicle is lengthened with preventing burr.
