PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device with which estimation of the total copy time necessary for providing copies of the number set in advance is made with high accuracy by operating the apparatus and measuring the operating time of the operation process elements. SOLUTION: The image forming device which operates the image forming process according to image recording conditions for forming an image has a check mode which is designed to estimate the total copy time from the operation start until completion of preparation of copies of the previously set number. The check mode is equipped at least with a means for inputting the items of the image recording conditions in connection with the image forming process, a first detecting means which operates the image forming process according to inputted information and detects the operating time of the operation process elements of the image forming process required for the estimation, and a means for estimating the total copy time on the basis of information on the operating time of the operation process elements, the number of original pages, and the set number of copies. |
