PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot drive switching device capable of performing restoring work in a short time by a simple work without hindering daily business at failure time of a boot drive, and an information terminal equipment having this switching device. SOLUTION: This boot drive switching device is composed of a switching device body, a switch capable of optionally switching order of boot processing of at least two or more IDE apparatuses such as a hard disk and a CD-ROM set in a boot so as to be capable of starting the information terminal such as a personal computer and a computer system arranged in this switching device body, and a switching mechanism having a first connecting tool having one end connected to this switch, and the other end connected to one IDE apparatus or one IDE interface connector, and a second connecting tool having one end connected to the switch, and the other end connected to the other IDE apparatus or the other IDC interface connector.
