A disk reproduction device which emits a laser beam from an optical head (4) on to a disk (1) to regenerate signals from the disk, and which comprises an external synchronous signal generating circuit (8) and a delay circuit (12) for generating a regenerative synchronous signal serving as a timing basis when an output signal is read from the head (4) to detect a regenerative signal, a regenerative signal detection circuit (7) for reading an output signal from the head (4) based on a regenerative synchronous signal to detect a regenerative signal, and a system controller (10) for changing the phase of a regenerative synchronous signal and performing a regenerative operation to thereby determine an optimum phase for a normal regenerative operation and phase-adjust a regenerative synchronous signal generated by the delay circuit (12), thereby ensuring a constant normal regenerative operation with a regenerative signal kept in an optimum phase.
