Cutoff is effected by an hydraulic safety coupling (3) with at least one pressure system (16,17) responding to manual or controlled cutoff. The two pressure systems are hydraulic and separate and can be relieved of pressure by a remotely controlled opening mechanism (22,23), or again by manually opened valves (20,21). The coupling pressure is monitored by a telemetric system (25). In the absence of an axial propeller shaft bearing, bearing (26) takes up the axial propeller thrust of the emergency drive. |
