PURPOSE: Structure for making a filter element of an air cleaner is provided to reduce the noise flowing backward from the intake part of an engine as well as to filter intake air by forming filter elements in multiple layers. CONSTITUTION: Filter elements(30) are formed in the inside spaces of housings of an air cleaner. Filter beds(32) made of unwoven fabric or paper are layered in a separate plastic case(31). The impurities in intake air are absorbed in the filter elements while passing through the air cleaner. The cleaned air is supplied to an engine. The operating noise of the engine is transmitted to an engine room and a vehicle room. Since the filter beds are installed in multiple layers, noise damping efficiency is improved.
