A carrier part(1) is profiled according to the shape(2) of the final product. A decorative material layer(5) is then applied onto the carrier and a forming tool coreponding to the final profile presses the decorative layer onto the profiled surface. An Independent claim is made for the process equipment which includes an upper profiled tool(8) for both heating and cooling the decorative layer(5).
