The invention relates to a miniature motor which actuates an impeller wheel (12) and rotates in a pump housing (14). The exciting winding of the micromotor is surrounded by an enveloping return structure (18) made of ferromagnetic material which is divided into rings (35). The rings (35) are separated from each other by slits (25), said slits being produced by laser cutting a transversal pipe. The enveloping return structure has a low wall-density of less than a tenth of a millimetre. The rings (35) are mutually connected by bridges (26). The enveloping return structure (18) can be embodied in a single piece with the housing (14) of the pump (11). The miniature motor can be produced in a small format with a reduced low diameter. Said motor has a higher output when the speed is correspondingly high. The miniature motor is particularly suitable for introducing blood pumps into the vascular system in a non-operative, minimally-invasive percutaneous manner.
