PURPOSE: An engine chain guide is provided to generate the rolling friction of a chain roller while the roller is rotating, for reducing the friction between a chain and the chain guide, thereby preventing the noise due to the sliding friction and improving the durability of the chain guide and the fuel ratio of an engine. CONSTITUTION: An engine chain guide(20) includes a main body(21) having a side surface formed long like a streamline, grooves(22) formed at both sides on a section of the main body for receiving outer link plate(13a) of the chain(13) and a middle part(23) higher than the grooves for rolling friction of a roller(13b) of the chain when the chain is mounted.
