A process purifies swimming pool water using three submerged electrodes to which a direct voltage current is applied, the polarity of which is reversed from time to time. An Independent claim is also included for an assembly in which one of the electrodes is made of a silver-copper alloy. The other two electrodes are made of stainless steel and arranged uniformly around the silver-copper electrode. The direct current is applied between the silver-copper electrode (1) and all the stainless steel electrodes (2-5). A ring conductor links the stainless steel electrodes. The electrodes (1-5) are made in rod or tube material.
