he invention relates to an intra-ocular implanted device which can be used for the prevention of age-related degradation of the bulbs and in particular the macula by increasing the opthalmic elasticity. The device can be implanted according to the peculiarities of each case either inside the ocular cavity or inside the eye walls. Apart from increasing the elasticity. The device can also protect the eye by maintaining the volumetric ratios between the anatomical elements of the eye, in the casewhere it is fitted after the removal of the normal lens. The device may be made of compressible material (e.g. foamy material) or consist of a sac filled with gas or other compressible fluid. The device in case it is fitted along the optical axis ofthe eye will need feature the necessary optical elements so that a visible reflex image is formed to the retina. |
