PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an optimum output device and to re-edit the output data based on output information on the selected output device even if the function of the output device is not grasped. SOLUTION: A personal computer obtains printer information on respective printers connected to a bus cable and stores them in a memory (S81 to S84). Video data stored in the memory are read and the printer which is an output destination candidate is selected based on picture information on video data and printer information (S85 and S86). Picture comparison viewers (color information, resolution information and paper size information) are displayed and the display pattern is selected. Transfer destination printer and output information are selected based on the result and they are re-edited at need (S87 to S91). Video data corresponding to an output system are outputted to the transfer destination printer.
