PURPOSE: A data recovering device for a DVCR is provided to minimize the error in detecting data by timing errors or noise by comparing the average of three values sampled by a single clock with a reference level. CONSTITUTION: A data recovering device for a DVCR includes a delay bank(14) formed of a plurality of delay parts for delaying reproducing signals and clock recovering outputs by different delay times respectively, a sample and hold bank(15) formed of a plurality of sample and hold part for sampling rectified outputs of the reproducing signals by using the respective clocks from the delay parts, an inverse delay bank(16) for delaying outputs from the sample and hold parts for meeting the delay times of the respective samples of the sample and hold parts, an adder(17) for adding the output from the inverse delay parts, and a comparator(COMP11) for comparing an output from the adder with a preset reference voltage(Vref11).
