PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent sound absorption body for effectively absorbing noise generated from a railway, a superhighway or the like and transmitting light. SOLUTION: The translucent sound absorption body 1 is provided with a translucent panel member 2 for transmitting light, a plurality of substantially U-shaped cross sectional frame bodies 3 arranged on the surface of the translucent panel member at a proper interval, and a sound absorption material 7 stored in the frame body 3. The frame body 3 of the substantially same length as that of the width direction of the translucent panel member 2 directs the opening part 4 downward, and an upper face 5 opposed to the opening part 4 forms an inclination part for reflecting incident sound to the translucent panel member 2 on the sound absorption material of the inside of the other frame body installed upward.
