PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging machine capable of preventing in advance troubles of a film being caught by prevention of slacking of the film. SOLUTION: The packaging machine draws out the film F from a film roll Fr mounted on an unwinding roller 70 and sends the film F to a packaging part S and packages an article to be packaged by covering of the upper surface thereof with the film F. This packaging machine is provided with a motor 78 to rotate the unwinding roller 70 and a one-way clutch inserted between an output axis 75 of the motor 78 and the unwinding roller 70. The one-way crutch allows rotation of the unwinding roller 70 in the direction in which the film F is rolled out from the film roll Fr and also prevents the unwinding roller 70 from rotating in the opposite direction.
