The grinding machine according to the invention comprises a first support (1) designed to support a tyre (2) in a vertical position and able to rotate about a first horizontal axis (3), a second support (7) positioned vertically on one side of the tyre (2), a third support (8) which can be moved manualy, which is connected to an upper part of the second support (7) by a connector (11) with at least three degrees of freedom, and which, when operating, extends substantially horizontally from the second support (7), passing above the tread of the tyre (2), and a grinder (9) on the third support (8) which is driven by a motor (34) about a second, substantially horizontal axis (33). The grinder (9) is mounted on the third support (8) by means of a fourth support (35) which can rotate about a third, substantially vertical axis (36) which intersects the second axis (33) at the centre of the grinder (9). There being control means (46) for making the fourth support (35) and the grinder (9) rotate about the third axis (36). |
