PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a disc brake, specially an internal expanding type clutch brake, for a road vehicle so as to improve heat emission without increasing wheel boss temperature. SOLUTION: Between a rotor disc and friction discs respectively directed toward the rotor disc, cooling means in the form of air guide passages 23 and 24 disposed between brake lining segments 21 and 22 are provided. Since these air guide passages 23 and 24 are extended from a radial direction cutout 29 in the rotor disc to the friction plate, cooling air eliminates friction heat directly from a place where it is generated. Heating to the brake lining segment is largely limited, and the brake lining segment also acts as a heat insulating element between the friction disc and the rotor disc, thereby the rotor disc itself is only heated very little.
