PURPOSE: A voltage boost circuit for an LCD backlight is provided to obtain a high operation efficiency at a low operation temperature and simplify the structure at a low cost. CONSTITUTION: A voltage boost circuit for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) backlight includes bias transformers(T3) having a plurality of wires of which first and second wires are connected to first and second transistors respectively and supply bias voltages to the first and second transistors(TR1,TR2), and a third wire is serially connected to outputs of the transistors, an output transformer(T4) having a first wire serially connected between a power supply and the bias transformers and a second wire forming a high voltage AC output terminal, and a capacitor(C4) serially connected to the first wire of the output transformer.
