PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate making method for an aluminum planographic printing plate which prevents the lowering of ink receptivity in running processing and uses a silver complex diffusion transfer process. SOLUTION: In the plate making method in which a planographic printing plate with at least a silver halide emulsion layer on an aluminum base is exposed and developed and the silver halide emulsion layer is removed to disclose a silver image on the aluminum base, a processing solution for removing the silver halide emulsion layer contains a proteolytic enzyme and at least one selected from saccharides, glycerol and polyglycerols.
