PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device where the peeling of a recording medium from an intermediate transfer body is smoothly performed over a long term. SOLUTION: This color image forming device equipped with the intermediate transfer body 22 is equipped with a means 28 supplying substance having an oxidation preventing function to the transfer body 22 by carrying a donor sheet to which the substance having the oxidation preventing function is stuck, to a part where the sheet comes into contact with the transfer body 22, and melting it in contact with the transfer body 22 or bringing it into contact with the transfer body 22. It is desirable to set a condition equipped with the antioxidant supply means 28 at a downstream position from a means 24 for separating the recording medium on which a toner image is fixed from the transfer body 22 in the moving direction of the transfer body 22 and at an upstream position from means 1-1 to 1-4 by which plural color toner images are carried on the surface of the transfer body 22 or a condition that the substance having the oxidation preventing function is at least one kind selected from a hindered phenol compound, a hindered amine compound and a compound including a phosphor element.
