The invention concerns a continuously wavelength tunable laser source with external cavity comprising a resonant cavity having a planar reflecting surface, means for extracting part of a light flux and a retroreflective dispersive device, an amplifying waveguide arranged inside the resonant cavity, means controlling the retroreflective dispersive device providing continuous tunability. The laser source comprises a photorefractive component arranged in the cavity, sensitive to the laser source wavelength, wherein is formed a Bragg grating.
