PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a malodor generation suppressing composition that can inhibit unpleasant odors caused by microorganisms, for example, the smell of armpits, body smell, athlete's foot, hair odor, foul breath, odor of damp-dry clothes or garbage from kitchens. SOLUTION: The objective composition includes, as a metabolic inhibitor against microorganisms, one or two or more kinds of plants selected from those belonging to the genera Dendranthema, Cynara and Tagetes or their extracts.
