Production of thin membranes, especially flaps for heart valves, comprises applying drops of a polymer solution or a viscous, multicomponent polymerizable system in a line or over the surface of a base or support and then drying. This process is repeated until the flap has the desired shape. An Independent claim is included for production of a valve with flaps produced as above and a base with layers produced in a similar way.
