PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for injection-compression molding which enable execution of uniform and highly precise single-impression molding free of nonuniformity in quality. SOLUTION: In one embodiment of the present method for injection- compression molding, a cavity (1) is formed by closing a mold (2 and 3) and then a molten resin is filled in the cavity. The state of filling of the resin in the cavity is detected from a position of a movable type core (5) and an operation of closing a gate completely is executed when the movable type core (5) reaches a prescribed position (c). After the gate is closed, the pressure inside the cavity is increased to a prescribed value by advancing the fore end of the core (5) of the cavity into the cavity, and after a prescribed cooling time passes, operations for taking out a molded article are conducted sequentially.
